Amanda and I had a great time in Valencia this past weekend. Other than the normal touristing and fantastic eating (full post to come in the future), a strange thing happened in our hotel. We were winding down a fun night with a glass of wine, when Amanda was handing me her iPod Nano so I could put it away. During the exchange, the iPod slipped out of my hand and... directly into my half-full glass of red wine. After the two seconds of shock wore off, Amanda jumped up, grabbed a towel, and wiped off the vino.
Although the clickwheel stopped working after the wine bath, and the battery had lost its charge by the next morning without being played, the iPod seems to be on the mend--no thanks to my swift hand-eye coordination.
Luckily my iPod is too large to fit in most standard hotel wine glasses.
