Art and Food. A good day!

Yesterday we went to the Reina Sofia art museum. It was amazing! The museum is free on Saturday afternoons and Sundays, which was a nice plus. We were nervous about lines, but despite being free, it was not crowded at all. Nice!

The museum has mostly modern art, and an amazing collection of Picasso, including his famous Guernica. This painting really is something. Steve and I were thinking that it might be the most impressive painting we've seen in person. It is gigantic, and breathtaking. Very cool! The museum also has some Dali, Miro, and a neat exhibit on surrealism. All worth seeing!

Last night was my favorite dinner so far. Hands down! We ate at La Camarilla, on Cava Baja, which is a street near our apartment filled with (as fas as we've experienced so far) amazing restaurants and bars. It is such a nice street to have nearby... so many options! I think the highlights of the dinner were the starters. We had Ensalada de Queso de Cabra y Vinagre de Módena (a salad with tasty goat cheese) and ...

Amazing Food Find #4:
Verduras en Tempura con Queso de Cabra y Salsa Agridulce. The verduras were little matchsticks of veggies like carrots, zuchini, etc., all somehow bundled together, and then fried in tempura batter. If bundles of fried vegetables weren't good enough, it was paired with a large slice of really yummy goat cheese. This was by far my favorite thing I've eaten in Spain. Yum! We'll definitely be back.
